Rome, Shrines of the Blessed Mother,

 Saints, and Miracles of the Eucharist

June 24 - July 7, 2019

Pilgrimage to Italy

  • DAY 1  
    Enroute to Italy. 
    We travel from our hometown to Rome, Italy.

  • DAY 2    
    Arrive Rome.  After we gather all pilgrims, our bus driver will be waiting for us to load all luggage and begin our Journey of Faith Pilgrimage.  We will visit and have a guided tour of the beautiful and largest Marian Church in Rome St. Mary Major, which houses a relic of the manger where our Lord Jesus was born and where we will celebrate Mass.  Transfer to our hotel.

  • DAY 3  ROME (B)
    Today, we take part in the general audience with Pope Francis, where he will give a powerful teaching.After the Pope’s audience, free time for shopping, ending the day with Mass at a local Church in Rome.

  • DAY 4  ROME (B)
    In the morning, we will have a guided tour by our Roman guide through the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's Creation of the World and the Last Judgment.   We will continue on to St. Peter’s Basilica.  It includes the Pieta, the tombs of St. John Paul II and St. John XXIII.  In the afternoon, we will have a guided city tour, which will include the major Basilicas of Rome, St. Paul Outside the Walls where we will celebrate Mass and pray at the Chapel of St. Brigid of Sweden, St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome and the Scala Santa.  Return to our hotel.


    This morning we leave Rome and on our way to Assisi, we will make a stop in Cascia, where we will venerate the incorrupt body of St. Rita, and another powerful Miracle of the Eucharist. St. Rita known as the Saint of the Impossible. We continue our travels in the Umbrian valley to the shrine of St. Clare of Montefalco where we will celebrate Mass.  Visit the incorrupt body of the Augustinian Saint - meet her community of nuns; visit the cloister and garden where there is a special tree for you to see.  Continue on to beautiful Assisi, the Land of St. Francis and St. Clare. Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


  • DAY 6    ASSISI  (BD)
    Begin with Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis. Followed with a guided tour of the Church. We then go to the Church of St. Clare across town to visit the tomb of St. Clare and the original Cross of San Damiano.In the afternoon we visit Santa Maria degli Angeli, and the Porziuncola, the first Church of St. Francis, and the Rose Garden.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


    We begin our day in Citta di Castello, home of St. Veronica Giuliani, visionary, mystic and Stigmatist. Celebrate Mass here and venerate her incorrupt body.   Continue on to Osimo to visit the shrine of St. Joseph of Cupertino, the Flying Saint and patron of students. We will relive his life and ministry here.  We end our day in Loreto, the shrine of the Holy House of Loreto.


  • DAY 8  LORETO (BD)
    Begin our day with Mass at the Holy House of Loreto.  Our Lady will speak to you here.  After Mass and breakfast, we will tour the Basilica.  There are many chapels dedicated to the various Saints who have prayed here.  In addition to the presence of Our Lady in this holy place, it has been visited by many Saints, Blesseds, and Popes down through the Ages. We visit the Congregation of the Holy House where there are English-speaking books.  The rest of the day is free to spend time with Our Lady of Loreto.  Dinner and overnight.


  • DAY 9  LORETO – LANCIANO - SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO (BD)We travel to Lanciano, the oldest Miracle of the Eucharist in the history of the Church.  See the incorrupt host turned into flesh and wine turned into blood.  See the Museum, which shows the Authentication.  We will celebrate Mass here.  Continue on to San Giovanni Rotondo, home of St. Padre Pio, for dinner and overnight.


    Begin day with Mass at the Cave of St. Michael in the Gargano,  which he claimed for himself and the Angels in the Fifth Century.  See the chair Pope John Paul II sat in when he visited this shrine. See the beautiful statue of St. Michael. Return to San Giovanni Rotondo where we will have a tour of the Shrine to St. Padre Pio. Visit his cell, where he lived and died, the choir loft where he received the Stigmata in 1918, his tomb, and the antique church where he celebrated most of his Masses.  We have a meeting in the English-speaking office, where you can have Masses offered. All books, DVDS in English and religious items are available at this office.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


    We travel to Materdomini, and the Shrine of St. Gerard Majella, a very powerful intercessor for healthy childbirths.  He is also known as the Handkerchief Saint.  See his shrine, his reliquary room which is filled with ex-votos of babies born healthy, the cell he lived in, and his tomb. Celebrate Mass here.   We continue on to Mugnano del Cardinale, the Shrine of St. Philomena, an early Martyr of the Church.  View the remains of the Saint, and her shrine.  We go to Salerno for dinner and overnight.


    We begin our day in New Pompeii, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Pompeii. Celebrate Mass here. Learn the history of the Shrine and its founder, Bl. Bartolo Longo, Apostle of the Rosary. Visit his tomb and the house where he lived when he was building the shrine to our Lady. In the afternoon, we will have a guided tour of the Ruins of old Pompeii, which was destroyed and buried under volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.


    Today we leave Salerno and travel to Montecassino, the famous Abbey and most fascinating Shrine of St. Benedict, founder of the Benedictine order and father of western monasticism.  Visit this church and the tombs of St. Benedict and St. Scholastica, his sister.  Continue on to Nettuno and the Shrine of St. Maria Goretti, the little White and Crimson Rose of Jesus, where we will celebrate our Mass.  St. Maria Goretti died defending her virginity. On to our Rome Airport Hotel.


  • DAY 14  ROME – HOME
    We board a flight from Rome to the United States - Return home the same day.
