One such great Saint in the making, one soul who reached for and received the crown of glory in Heaven, was St. Vincent de Paul.
The life of Saint Vincent de Paul was unusual in that at one time he was sold in slavery.
The became known as the Apostle of the Poor and he is one of Catholicism's best known Saints to this day.
